Truck reversed into moving taxi
A taxi driver was killed instantly this morning, 25 June 2013, when the vehicle he was driving plunged into a reversing truck. The accident happened just 5km outside Rustenburg on the R 24 Rustenburg/Johannesburg road.
The truck driver allegedly reversed into the road unaware of the taxi that was coming from behind and the taxi hit the truck at the back. The taxi driver who was travelling alone died instantly as it was allegedly impossible for both drivers to avoid the collision.
The police are investigating a case of Culpable Homicide against the truck driver.
